Dennis Jones-WHERE HORSES CAN’T GO-BRONZE
Internationally acclaimed wildlife artist Dennis Jones creates bronze sculptures of wildlife with enduring detail and beauty. Many of his numbered, limited edition collector pieces are displayed in galleries and museums around the world, even in regions as distant as the Far East.
In the past 10 years Dennis has been working with several non-profit organizations to raise funds for wildlife conservation. From 1994 to 1995, Jones’ sculptures have raised more than $200,000 in the United States. With his recognition growing, it is no wonder that Jones was chosen to create an award for the Olympic Training center in Colorado. In another project, Jones’ vision of a grizzly bear, cast in 600 ounces of pure silver, raised $200,000 for the Safari Club – the most money ever received for a single purchase in the organization’s history! Jones has also been commissioned for creating sculptures for the Franklin Mint and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, just to name a few.
In a 1996 award ceremony in Reno, Nevada, Jones presented former Vice President Dan Quayle with a bronze depiction of a bald eagle swooping downwards in a pursuit of an unknowing fish; this work is entitled, “Prey For The Endangered.” In 1997, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jones presented former U.S. President George Bush with “Peace Above The Storm”, a bronze sculpture of an eagle that clutches a silk, hand sewn American flag and ascends over a polished onyx base. In 1998 Dennis was privileged once more in presenting General Norman Schwarzkopf with “Peace Above The Storm” at the S.C.I. Convention in Reno, Nevada.
Dennis Jones’ sculptures are crafted with meticulous care and detail; eagle feathers are individually hand crafted, then molded and hand assembled to the artwork’s internal frame ensuring unsurpassed quality and realism. The artistry is of such detail that some sculptures take up to one year to complete.
Jones’ astounding menagerie features, among others, elk, moose, grizzly bear, elephants and deer. Each sculpture is an invaluable collector’s piece which is certain to increase in value in the years to come. Our Price:$1,999.00
